We are pleased to welcome you at the web page of a unique university hub in the South Caucasus Region created to conduct environmental law researches. The Centre you are exploring now was established On 16 September, 2008 according to the memorandum signed between Yerevan State University and OSCE Office in Armenia. Currently Centre operates under the program of the State Science Committee of the Ministry of Education and Science of Armenia.
THE MISSION OF CENTER IS
To fulfill comprehensively the aforementioned objectives ELRC cooperates with the Parliament, Government and Judicial system of Armenia, self-governance bodies as well as with leading foreign institutions and universities, international and national non-governmental organizations.
WHAT WE ACHIVED
Within 2008-2011 time period ELRC
ELRC became a member of IUCN Environmental Law Academy in 2011 and serves as an expert organization for the National Assembly of Armenia based on the memorandum signed between the latter one and the Law Faculty.
This is on our agenda to continue the established activities of ELRC contemporaneously creating new dimensions for its sound evolution.
Today, the candle lighting in memory of the 1.5 million innocent victims of the Armenian Genocide was organized in the foyer of YSU main building.
25 higher educational institutions founded in Yekaterinburg the University League of the Collective Security Treaty Organization.
April 22 is The Earth Day, so the environmentalists once again raised the environmental issues.
The presentation of the book “If we remain silent, the stones would cry out” was held at YSU today. It is based on the memories of the Genocide survivor Hrachya Gevorgyan.
On April 6-12 YSU students participated in the International Youth Forum “Lomonosov 2014”.
