World Environment Day and Environmentalist Day were celebrated on June 5, in Lovers Park. The event was organized by the Ministry of the Nature Protection.
Around 50 organizations: MNP structural and separate divisions, environmental organizations, non-governmental organizations, schools and educational institutions, companies engaged in the production of green technology, cultural centers, had their pavilions in the exhibition entitled “Environmental achievements.
"Environmental Public Advocacy Center" NGO and Environmental Law Resource Center, Faculty of Law, YSU also were invited to furnish a separate pavilion at the event. These organizations presented their publications, project results, including legislation commentaries, research papers, studies and other teaching materials. Among the guests of our pavilion were the official group led by the Minister of the Nature Protection, delegations of UN and EU, heads of state and other governmental bodies.
The event was attended by representatives of the Government and the National Assembly of Armenia, foreign ambassadors in Armenia, heads of international organizations, non-governmental organizations and business sector representatives.
Today, the candle lighting in memory of the 1.5 million innocent victims of the Armenian Genocide was organized in the foyer of YSU main building.
25 higher educational institutions founded in Yekaterinburg the University League of the Collective Security Treaty Organization.
April 22 is The Earth Day, so the environmentalists once again raised the environmental issues.
The presentation of the book “If we remain silent, the stones would cry out” was held at YSU today. It is based on the memories of the Genocide survivor Hrachya Gevorgyan.
On April 6-12 YSU students participated in the International Youth Forum “Lomonosov 2014”.
